TAPPS will host the 2026 Academic and Speech Championships at the Waco Convention Center from March 23–25, 2026. The event will bring together students from across the state to compete for championships in a range of academic and speech disciplines.

This year’s championships will feature almost 3,000 entries across 18 contests, including 7 speech events and 11 academic contests. Champions will be crowned in all six TAPPS classifications, recognizing achievement across a wide variety of schools and enrollment levels.

TAPPS looks forward to welcoming students, coaches, and supporters to Waco for three days of competition. Following the event, official results will be posted on the Academic landing page on the TAPPS website for schools, participants, and families to review.

Member schools are encouraged to make necessary travel and participation arrangements in advance of the March 23–25 competition window. Additional event details and schedules will be shared through TAPPS communication channels as they become available.
